World Dogshow Championat de France (FR) We spent 12 days with your friends in Paris, - with Olga from Russia and family Sedlak from Slovakia. It was a great vacation. We went to an electric high-speed train to the Atlantic coast to the city La Rochelle, where was shot The Three Musketeers movie. There waited us our other friends who live in La Rochelle for 13 years. They took care of us, showed us the city and big aquarium, which is one of the two largest in Europe. We sailed on the ship and saw the fort Boyard (known from TV shows) at close range. It really is an incredible building that literally grew out from the water. On the coast we ate freshly caught and cooked sardines. We really enjoyed it. Paris was beautiful, Dysneyland, Eiffel Tower and many other beautiful places. If only there was not anywhere as much tourists and long queues :-(. But Paris is a very frequented city, so we had to endure the queues, if we wanted to see something. Shows were held at the exhibition grounds near the airport. Parking areas were huge, but it was really a distance to the halls if one came later. Well there all the charm of Paris ended for me. I visit lots of dogshows in various countries. I expected how fantastic the World Exhibition in Paris will be. But the opposite was true. I do not remember where I saw so much filth and garbage. Dogs excrements were absolutely everywhere and on the third day you could not normally occur from the hall to the car - it was like a slalom course .... Show rings for so many dogs were small, canals covered with carpet lined almost the entire circumference of a ring, so the dogs were very uncomfortable constantly rumbling canals .... No one spoke English at the show, in a ring nobody communicated with us. You drive two thousand kilometers, pay considerable show fees and then do not get evaluation in the ring, no one said a word. More than 260 yorkshires judged in two hours - so the judge gave each dog, maybe two minutes ... We did not know our results and why .... Although our first day in the big competition we won a second, third and fourth place, I was really disappointed. I hope next year at the World Dogshow in Austria I enjoy a "good show" to what we used to. Excellentissimo
